What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

That I can rebound from anything I put my mind to. The face that when faced with situations, I know with the faith I have in myself and the almighty will see me through any and everything that comes my way. I trust myself with the strength and determination of the Lord to keep my mind on my side.

How do you want to retire?

I am going to retire on a 10 acre property in northern Michigan with a 3 acre pond, a nice forestry tree line I can look at through my kitchen window with no neighbors on neither side of my property. Its like the older I get the peace and serenity that is going to come with my size of property is as beautiful as my wife. I am going to have a 1 acre garden for fresh veggies where I know where my food will come from. A piece of heaven where my future grand kids can run and play in the sunshine without the noise and chaos of the hustle and bustle of daily living. That’s my retirement, sitting on the porch swing with my bride reminiscing on how we talked about this exact way of living in our golden years.

What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?

Funny how that is the question of the day because I have a necklace from 1999, the year I graduated high school I wear from time time, actually more often than none. It was a graduation gift and it super clean to this day. I was just talking about the necklace last night with my kid. I even remember exactly when and where I purchased the necklace. Sadly the mall I bought it from is a ghost town of a mall now, but many memories from that place.

Describe one of your favorite moments.

When my wife and I went to the hospital due to her being close to delivering our baby girl. That moment those cries from my kid spilled out and onto this beautiful planet was one of my favorite moments ever. The joy my wife and I shared at that moment was overall blissful.

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Spring time is my favorite due to the earth coming out of it’s thaw. I think it’s earth and everything and everyone shedding the prior year skin. It’s an awakening in so many words, the soft warmth of the sun, the cool breezy nights is all so wonderful. It’s a beautiful time of the year, and a fresh start to another chapter in your life to be great.

Let’s start the out as beautiful as the sun rises and warms our mind our mind, body and our souls. Be great…

What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

A good honest family and friends is always important as anything. A good supportive cast an go a long way in this life, especially if joy and success is included. It’s a beautiful process when all the puzzle pieces fall into place.

Happy Saturday

Today should be filled with joy and bliss no matter what you are going thru. I’ve being acknowledging the purity of gratitude day in day out and it is a beautiful thing. Everything from a small cup of coffee to getting up every morning getting ready for work. I am so grateful for my life and the things that I encounter everyday. I used to complain about the smallest things such as traffic, why is my company dragging, no communication, lack of effort. But when I get home at the end of the day to my beautiful wife and kid, I refresh my day and think that it wasn’t that bad. Well with gratitude, I sit there and think that there is someone out there that admire what I do and wish they were in my shoes. An old man asked me what did I do for a living and I told him and started to gripe about my co workers, he said son embrace the situation with a smile because there is millions of people who would love to be able to gripe and complain about what you are complaining about, but instead they can’t because they are not as fortunate as you are young man. You want to talk about perspective, well there it was slapping me in the face and all I can say is “ you’re right”.

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

I have a multitude of things that bring me joy, working out is one of them every since I was a eight grader working out with the football team. I would stay after school to do just that. One afternoon I came home, went in my room and there was a nice weight bench with a curling bar and a jump rope, I ran upstairs to my mother and asked her where fix this come from. She told me that she wanted to get me to where I could workout at home on the weekends as well if I had the urge. It was the best and I exhausted that thing like no other, it was workout before I went outside to play with friends, or before I played video games, it was like a chore, but it was beneficial. I’ve had weight benches ever since, I do go to the gym from time to time, but there is nothing like getting active with working out in the comfort of your home.
