Have you ever had surgery? What for?

I had surgery as a child when I went to the dentist, I could not lift my tongue all the way up and the dentist told my mother that I was tongue tied. He asked her if he could perform the surgery and she told him to go head and snip it. The thin flesh between the tongue and the bottom of the mouth was too long and needed cut a bit for my tongue to be more flexible is what I was told. Being 12 I had no idea what they were talking about, but it happened and 32 years later I still remember the smell of the gas they used. I k ow that’s not no oh wow type of surgery, but being 12 it was something.

Keep doing the right thing.

Someone told me that I have a good soul and am a good person out of no where, I never met this guy nor seen him in my life. I was at work and he approached me and said that to me. I smiled back at him and said thank you very much for that. I work on myself everyday to uplift my spirits, stay focused and try and help others when I can. I live a simple life with my family, and try and be dedicated to my routine as I write before. Being blissful and putting GOD first is an absolute must. I’m not telling anyone what to believe in, it for me I believe in a higher power and when you pay attention to every and all things, it makes sense. I have incorporated meditation into my daily routine that clears my mind from the day before, and doing so reminds me that yesterday has came and went and onto a new fresh brand new day to paint another beautiful day on a blank canvas. I feel like my light gets brighter day by day the more I focus on being the best me everyday and I share that with my awesome and beautiful wife and my wonderful daughter.

Routine

What are your daily habits?

When I wake up I first of all thank GOD, I sit for a few minutes to appreciate my life, my family and all the small things I am grateful for. Then I get moving, things like the bathroom, coffee, check out the weather for the day because of my job, I’m outside so knowing what the weather is for the day is a must. I like to keep it basic, nothing fancy a meditation session, listen to some Neville Goddard and reset my mind for the day to clear out all the rubbish and start the day with a blank canvas.

Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

One word for that for me would be GRATITUDE. I practice it everyday throughout my and at then end of everyday. It is a sense of relief for me and I found joy in doing so. It’s a great way to notice almost everything in my day to day and acknowledge the fact that I don’t have to compare and lack. The more I accept and enjoy, the more shows up. It is a great way living and enjoying life.

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

Roasted Brussels sprouts is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten, I use to frown upon them when I was a youth. my father in law graced my table with some a few years ago and I didn’t eat them at that moment. Later that day I tried them and my taste buds exploded. I made some on my own and they were wonderful, my wife and I made them a few more times and they were just as enjoyable as when I made the second time. They are juicy, good for you and nutritious. Brussels sprouts are a definite game changer and it took me 44 years to realize that.

Ground hog day out outfits

If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?

My absolute go to would be a pair of fabletics nave blue shorts and a breathable light gray shirt with a pair of navy and white running shoes that’s comfortable and classy all at the same time. The outfit would represent fun and business all at once. That’s typically what I wear when I’m not working, just different colors everyday, but overall that is my go to outfit. I can wear it to the super markets, it looks nice and clean at parent teacher conferences, and it is a solid look on the golf course as well, I would have to pair it with a nice watch. I am a big fan of watches, and hats, so that would be my everyday.

Let’s not complain about it, complaining only turns into negative feelings that turns a person not so pleasant for a moment. Sometimes that negativity can ruin your whole day. If we expect greatness, greatness will present itself, and the same goes for feeling negative. We need to appreciate the good and the bad no matter what. At the end of the day, it was all meant to be. I think it’s all a test from the universe to see if we are ready for what we really want, and the more we feed into either, the good or the bad, that’s when we get more of what we feed into. We should celebrate wins and losses just to show the universe that we acknowledge them.

Self Care Is About Design.

Self care is all about maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle, not only with the physical, but for the mental as well. Not just how you treat your body, but how you shape your days. It is kind of like showing up for yourself in order to hold yourself accountable. Working out, a little bit of reading, even if you read for 10 minutes or so can be all part of self care, getting outside in nature, going for a walk. It is detaching from the world for a bit to recharge from our fast paced grind. Keeping the mind sharp and focused is an absolute must. I believe being grounded fuels your body, your temple and your tempo. We all have our own way of self care and that is perfectly fine. I just believe that we all need a bit of self care in our life.

Daily writing prompt
How do you waste the most time every day?

Most of the time I try and not do as such, but I still find ways to just that. I mindlessly waste a lot of time on social media and I work on doing other things to occupy my time. I surf the web on other interesting things such as stocks, crypto, funny cat videos which is an adventure in itself. I my go in the garage with my wife and try and keep up with her workout routine. She blows me out the water, but I still go out there and give it a go. I have adopted meditating a couple times a week, but I do want to make it a everyday thing to add to my mornings, a bit of sharpening of the mind is always a plus in my eyes. I work on filling my whole day with something productive so I don’t waste time on nothingness throughout my day.

Who is your favorite historical figure?

I would have to go with William Shakespeare due to his writing abilities and the excellent ways he put his words together. I myself love to write and sometimes even doodle a little bit on a Saturday night, I think it’s good for the soul to get creative and let your mind wonder. I would like to write a book someday and watch my work grow and for people to enjoy whatever it may be I can put together in book form.
