Why do you blog?
I always liked to write as a kid, I even had a couple small books I never attempted to get published, I used to write music as a teenager with some friends as well, but life got in the way and it kind of took a back seat but I found WordPress a few years ago and here I am.
Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.
I interviewed my daughter and asked her how did she feel about starting high school and she told me she felt absolutely fine. She said that it was still school, just at a higher level of learning and that she is ready for the challenge. She felt that she will be ready to meet some more friends along the way and is super excited about all the new things to come.
What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?
Daily improvement for me is to meditate in the morning to reset my mind body and soul from the prior day. I put god first by showing gratitude and having a talk with the highest spirit in the morning seems to get me focused and prepared for the day ahead.
What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?
I searched a tow trucking company yesterday afternoon to have my car towed to a shop to get repaired. The guy told me that they would be there within an hour, and about 20 minutes later I get a call from my wife asking me why is there a tow truck towing my car? I told her a couple of days ago that I was going to get it towed and that I didn’t tell her yesterday that it was getting towed yesterday because I was 30 minutes away from home and figured I’d either beat the tow truck home and or meet him there, so that’s what I searched for yesterday…
I really don’t have a tv show that I would consider a favorite as a kid. My friends and I were outside all of the time playing basketball, football, wrestling and bike riding. We didn’t want to be inside to much because being in the house came with chores lol, it when I would finally go in the house for the day I would watch cartoons. Cartoons reminds me of childhood and fun, laughing and joy. Eating hot pockets and drinking juice boxes in the living room with my little brother and sister have all the joy one would have. Tv shows and movies were never my thing, I do watch it, but mainly I watch sports and news.
I love to make Cajun shrimp scampi with 100% wheat spaghetti noodles. It is so delicious especially when I have a 50/50 blend salad mix with jalapeño dried strips on top of it. My wife thinks I should go on one of those cooking shows but I tell her I’d rather write than cook, or maybe I should write a cook book and see how that takes off. My step dad was a chef when my siblings and I were kids and I used to watch and help him since I was the oldest. Handing him onions and peppers, different seasonings and what not, I would have to watch the temperature and add things as it was cooking. It was a bunch of fun and as I got older I started to create my own dishes, sometimes it would be terrible lol, and sometimes I would surprise myself.
Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.
My kid going to orientation to start her high school adventure, getting ready to be amongst the big dogs of the general knowledge environment. From birth to elementary to middle school to high school came so fast it’s un real. I asked her the other day was she nervous and she said YES, and she didn’t want to, said she wants to go back to 6th grade, I told her this is something she has to do, especially if she wants to go to college. She stood tall and went to the orientation with her mother and called me later and told me that she loved it, she told me how big the school is and can’t wait to start. I smiled and told her it’s going to be fine, it’s the freshman jitters you’re having and you’ll be just fine.
My city of the future would be like the 1990’s honestly with cheap gas for the automobiles from back then, real ingredients in the food, drive in theaters, packed malls with the colorful architectural designs of the buildings. Plentiful job sources with real employment, sitting down with a manager face to face for interviews. A real vibrant city with real justice when need be, everybody treated equal, a lot of parks and outdoor activities for the youth to enjoy with out thinking twice, especially to get the youth off of social media and get outside and enjoy nature and one another, getting to know there peers.
