How would you describe yourself to someone who can’t see you?

Warm, charming, friendly, easy to talk with, funny in all sorts of ways. I would tell them that I am kind and generous, I do not judge or frown upon people. At the end of our conversations, they would be Ed tied to speak with me in person to see if I am as genuine as I come off as. I’m not boasting, but that’s the real me and I was raised that way. I love all no matter what, we are all children of the most high and I tend to understand and accept and appreciate that on a day to day basis. I practice gratitude to the fullest and act upon it everyday.

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

Going to cedar point as a youth was a every summer tradition my family would do. We used to go for a couple days in the early summer right when school let out. We would get Marcos pizza near the causeway at the park and it would be so good. My brother and my late uncle would venture off on our own into the midst of the thousands of people and just have a blast, going to the water park for a few hours would be so joyous during the crazy heat. It was truly a tradition I want to get back into, but my daughter and my wife don’t like roller coasters and it probably wouldn’t be as fun, but going to Chicago a couple weeks ago maybe our new yearly vacation spot, my stepson lives there with his wife so we did not need to pay for a hotel so that saved some money and the train ride into downtown Chicago was cheap as well. We loved it and are talking about going back before summer is over with, so maybe a twice a year trip would be ideal to fulfill our summer 2025.

Was today typical?

Today was not typical because I first off changed my route to work, didn’t stop for coffee at my local coffee shop and I drank an extra liter of water. I read the prompt this morning and de ides to switch up my normal routine. I did run into a bit of traffic on my morning commute, but I also found a new route in the process. I think change is good sometimes, something new and exciting on my morning adventures. I even shaved some time off of my commute, overall today was a great day and I’m happy as can be, good energy, good vibes, good times and I hope all of you who read this have a blissful evening.

How would you describe yourself to someone?

I would describe my self as an outgoing individual who likes to be outside in a crowd, I love basketball and wrestling, I am an approachable guy and I’m easy to talk to, I will listen to any and everything you have to say. When I’m out and about with my family or I’m solo, I get approached all the time by strangers, my wife says I have a glow about myself and I love all. I find myself to be open to any topic of conversation of all sorts whenever wherever. I am a gamer, I took up fishing a couple years ago with my daughter, we fished for three months straight a couple years ago and it was awesome. I would just be natural describing myself to someone and let whoever I’m talking to decide for themselves on rather to listen. That’s me in the flesh always and forever I’ll be that guy, easily approachable, easy going and generous.

If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

I would bring back the stegosaurus because they seem to be underrated as a dinosaur. They always seemed to be intriguing due to their lack in stature compared to the giant ones. when I was a kid my mom would get me the little plastic toy dinosaurs and I would play with them and the little army figurines, and I would use the stegosaurus as a ally in my mind as they battled in my living room. It was an amazing imagination playing with them with not a single care in the world.

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

I would got to Antarctica because it is a super fascinating and very curious place that seems to be talked about a lot. I would love to go there and go off the beaten path and path of the most mysterious place on earth, well outside of the Bermuda Triangle but you get my drift. It just seems so tucked off and closed off from everyone. I have watched and listened to so much audio and videos of places like Antarctica, the Mariana Trench, the sentinel island etc. I’m just the kind of person that gets intrigued by the unknown, maybe it would be boring as heck, but to say I traveled there would be a great feat in my eyes. Other than those places, I would just throw a dart at a globe and wherever it landed is where I would fly to and it would be my first time flying all at the same time.

Blessed rising.

Let’s start the day out with gratitude and blissfulness, enjoying the moment while living in the moment. That thing you want to do, do it without any thoughts on why you shouldn’t do it, live your life and be happy. When I went to Chicago last weekend, I walked alongside Lake Michigan and took it all in and I realized that I work too much, never taking time to enjoy me and my family. My life was work work and more work, and when I come home I just want to sit in my chair and do absolutely nothing. Well while I was downtown Chicago with my family seeing all the smiles and all of the people smiling having fun, that’s when I said to myself let’s enjoy this one life we get and make the best of it. Yeah I know we need money to survive, but we also need a break for ourselves and our families as well. With all that being said, live your life on your terms and be happy all in the process.

What’s the story behind your nickname?

My nickname is is just D, it’s short and easy for my friends growing up as kids. I guess saying my full name as 8 year old kid was a mouthful so people just start calling me D. 36 years later it still holds strong ,even people I’ve met over the years call me D. But when I meet new people, I introduce my self as Dion because it’s easier and less syllables. My brother says my name in a funny way and to this day and I’ve been knowing him his whole life, sometimes he calls me Tay and we giggle but it’s all out of love, my little sister calls me by my whole name and she’s the youngest. But overall it’s D for the most part people still call me D and that’s absolutely fine with me.

What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

I work on fasting throughout the day, and when I do so I eat a low sugar low sodium meal. I work on protecting my peace daily with meditation, reading, listening to some audio on my way to work. I speak loudly praising myself with positive affirmations daily, I pray in the morning to clear my mind, boosting my spirit, staying away from negative people and negative talks. It really can change your mood and even your whole day engaging in negativity. A good diet can balance the body along with clean living,

What are your future travel plans?

When I was a long distance truck driver I use to drive out west a lot, places like Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota. My destination would be places like Oregon and Washington State, in the process of traveling through those states I would see wild horses, caribou, giant elk out grazing and running free with no worries, I would love to take my family for a road trip out west from Michigan to Seattle driving the I90 interstate so they can experience how vast the west side of our country is. It’s a heck of an experience. I know it’s a long drive but at the end of the day, it’ll all be worth it, even stop a few times to get some pictures on the way, plus my wife wants to visit Seattle so it would be kind of a two for one in a way.
