What’s the weirdest coincidence you’ve ever experienced?
When Exhaustion Meets Real Life Responsibilities
We’ve all had those nights — the ones where sleep refuses to show up, no matter how tired your body feels. You toss, you turn, you stare at the ceiling, and your mind keeps reminding you that morning is coming whether you’re ready or not.
That was me on this particular night. Wide awake. Frustrated. And fully aware that I had an early shift the next morning. As I laid there, all I could think was how long the day was going to feel. How I’d be dragging. How I’d be fighting to stay alert.
Little did I know, life had a twist waiting for me.
The Mental Battle: “Should I Call In?”
Around 3 AM, I started having that internal debate we all know too well.
- Should I call in?
- Should I tough it out?
- Can I even afford to miss a day right now?
But the biggest issue? We didn’t have the staff to cover all shifts. Calling in wasn’t just about me — it would put pressure on everyone else. So I stayed in bed, staring at the dark room, accepting that tomorrow was going to be rough.
This is where the story takes a turn.
The Coincidence That Changed Everything
Just when I had mentally prepared myself for a long, exhausting day… I got the message:
“We’re not running tomorrow.”
Out of nowhere. No warning. No hint. Just a sudden change of plans that meant I didn’t have to work at all.
Coincidence?
Luck of the draw?
Divine timing?
Call it whatever you want — but it hit me in a way that made me pause.
It felt like life stepped in and said, “I got you.”
The Lesson Hidden Inside the Moment
Sometimes we stress over things that resolve themselves without our involvement.
Sometimes we carry weight that ends up being lifted before we even take a step.
Sometimes life gives us a break exactly when we need it most.
That night taught me something simple but powerful:
Even when things feel out of control, life has a way of aligning itself.
I didn’t get sleep, but I got rest.
I didn’t call in, but I didn’t have to work.
I didn’t drag through the day — the day never happened.
It was one of the weirdest coincidences I’ve ever experienced, but also one of the most comforting.

Trust the Timing
Life doesn’t always give us what we want, but sometimes it gives us exactly what we need. That night reminded me that even in moments of frustration, exhaustion, or uncertainty, things can shift in our favor without warning.
So if you’re going through a tough moment, a long night, or a stressful season — hold on. You never know what tomorrow might bring.
